This is a random blog created by me, John Falke aka russianfool20825 and James K. Polk aka fluffy (asqw1313). We just randomly got together and decided that all of the conversations we were having were too good to be lost: anything ranging from calculating how big a colony ship would have to be to sustain a cannibalistic communist society for many years to get to Alpha Centauri, to essays on why people should eat their dead and why suicide is a valid way to succeed in life. All supported by logic.
Also, to add spice and excitement me and fluffy have decided to proceed with self development. On the agenda so far: polyphasic sleeping and writing a piece of literature each day.
We'll break up the monotony of having to read our crap every once in a while by having other people write... Anyway, stay tuned, and we shall see what becomes of this blog.

How many people do you want to colonize the system and how fast would the ship travel?
ReplyDeleteWe weren't really specific on the speed, but it would have to be the speed that spaceships travel at right now. We assumed that the distance and time would be so great that without a self sustaining ecosystem/ship it won't be possible, so the time the ship travels does not matter as it is self sustaining. We encountered problems as being far from the sun for energy, inability to fully recycle, and human ability to breed like rabbits. The idea was discarded as highly impractical and dependent on luck, even if some of the humans are used for food.
